Consumers can get health answers on iPhone, Android and Smartphones thanks to Colorado's HealthONE hospitals and iTriage

Healthagen and HealthONE have partnered to provide the Denver metro community with iTriage®, a geo-locator and directory for emergency medical services to help users better prepare for life’s unexpected wellness challenges. iTriage is a free medical service designed to:

• Better explain patient medical information
• Improve transparency around price and quality
• Increase access to healthcare facilities best suited for care related to the ailment

HealthONE is one of the first hospital systems nationwide to take advantage of this interactive technology which empowers consumers and allows them to evaluate their symptoms, learn about the possible causes, find appropriate locations for treatment, as well as get cost information based on the type of facility they visit.

How the iTriage Application Works

Say an iTriage user has a headache and wants to know the possible causes. iTriage can provide:

• Description
• Possible causes
• Common symptoms
• Standard work-up (what you should expect the doctor to do)
• Treatment (including the medications and procedures)

Where to seek treatment should your headache not be “just a headache,” but an indication of stroke or more serious medical problem.

Not Just for Emergencies

This smartphone application isn’t just for emergencies. Users can access the library of symptoms, diseases, procedures, and obtain quality reports on facilities and physicians.
