When the big day comes, expectant moms will go to North Suburban's third floor Labor and Delivery Unit to be assigned a room and evaluated for labor. Moms arriving for scheduled inductions, external versions, or Cesarean births, please check in at the main admissions desk.
Throughout your time at our hospital for childbirth, we will be asking you what you want and how we can help. What's important to you and your baby is important to us. The Women's Center team will do everything they can to provide a personalized experience that meets your needs.
Following delivery, mom and baby are moved to a private Mother & Baby Suite where they continue recovery until their hospital stay ends.
At North Suburban, each expectant mom is assigned her own nurse. She is highly experienced in childbirth and she will help you throughout your delivery. Plus, each baby has their own neonatal nurse practitioner watching after them as soon as they are born. One nurse for mom and one nurse for baby.
Childbirth Pain ManagementNorth Suburban Medical Center offers 24 hour anesthesia service to provide quick relief from the discomfort of labor. For mom's choosing a non-medicated birth, we have squat bars, rocking chairs and birthing balls.
