Birth Essentials: Preparing for Childbirth

Birth Essentials is a four-week series that cover comprehensive childbirth education including:

• Options for labor
• Practical skills and coping techniques
• Childbirth video
• Birth plan creation
• Tour of the Women's Center & review of hospital procedures
• The transition to parenthood
• What to expect in those early days at home

North Suburban's Birth Essentials is taught by certified childbirth educators. Each class is 3 hours, meets once a week for 4 weeks, and costs $75 per person/couple. This class should be completed before mom is 34 weeks along.
