Birth Essentials: Preparing for Childbirth
Birth Essentials is a four-week series that cover comprehensive childbirth education including:
- Options for labor
- Practical skills and coping techniques
- Childbirth video
- Birth plan creation
- Tour of the Women's Center & review of hospital procedures
- The transition to parenthood
- What to expect in those early days at home
North Suburban's Birth Essentials is taught by certified childbirth educators. Each class is 3 hours, meets once a week for 4 weeks, and costs $75 per person/couple. This class should be completed before mom is 34 weeks along.
