North Suburban’s Women’s Diagnostic Imaging Center offers digital mammography technology, which helps better detect the subtle signs of breast cancer early. This technology is especially effective for women with:

Dense breast tissue Breast implants

A family history of breast cancer Who are pre-menopausal

All mammograms are provided by experienced technologists and read by radiologist who specialize in interpreting breast scans. Our goal is to make your mammography experience as comfortable and convenient as possible.

Benefits of Digital Mammography

Using digital mammography allows us to provide more accurate exams faster. Plus, for patients with dense or fibrous breasts, digital mammography uses a lower radiation dose compared to traditional or film mammography.

Additional Screening Services

If your mammogram results show a possible area of concern, your provider may recommend additional testing. These tests can be performed on-site and in one location by our experienced staff. Additional testing may include:

• Breast Ultrasound to show whether a breast lump is a fluid-filled cyst or a solid lump, or
• Stereotactic Breast Biopsy for evaluating lumps without surgery.
